Hapa Ramen coming to the Ferry Building Farmer's Market

Much like today, it can get real chilly at the Thursday Farmer’s Market at the Ferry Building in SF. How does a hot bowl of noodles to warm you up sound? Sounds good to me!

Here’s an except from the SF Weekly article.

Nopa sous chef (and Linecook blogger) Richie Nakano is hoping for an April launch for Hapa Ramen, a project that’s operated as a sort of a semi-open secret for followers of Nakano. Today, Nakano told us his ramen noodles will be strictly scratch, his broth from 100-percent organic bones. Beer & Nosh blogger Jesse Friedman was on hand for a recent Hapa tasting and filed some amazing pics ― Nakano’s test bowls were packed with braised greens, crispy pork, fried chicken nuggets, eggs cooked sous vide, and pork shoulder. Forget April being the cruelest month; waiting for Hapa’s April launch’ll be crueler.

Update:

Hapa Ramen has been doing a few test runs at different locations around the city. Last one was at Coffee Bar on Mariposa and Florida St. This next one will be at Heart. If I didn’t have pre-screening tickets to see the new Twilight movie, I’d be all up on this.

It’s here!

Ahh! There’s nothing like a good bowl of Ramen with fatty pork and a slow poached egg. This will definitely add to the Thurs line-up at the Farmers Market. Lets see how this will compete against the Roli Roti’s Porchetta sandwich and Namu’s Taco & Kim-Chee Fried Rice.

  3. […] Hapa Ramen I missed the preview at the Coffee Bar on May 8th, so I’m waiting for this one to hit the stands at the Ferry Building. Hopefully I don’t have to wait too long! […]
