I’ve never heard about Sea Breeze Café until this weekend. But judging by the packed restaurant I experienced on Saturday, it seems like everyone else has.
Sea Breeze Café is a breakfast/lunch hot spot in Outer Sunset. They serve the usual breakfast arrangements such as eggs benedict, scrambles and sandwiches.
The scene:
The crowd is much edgier than you’d expect. The staff is friendly and service is pretty quick. I was with a group catching up on old times for about 2 hours in the restaurant, and the staff didn’t rush us at all and continued to wait on us.
The food:
Mexican Chorizo Sausage with Scrambled Eggs, Potatoes and Tortillas – Mmmm… spicy sausages. I’m actually not a breakfast person, but I really enjoyed this dish. The chorizo was so fresh, I think it might’ve been homemade. It was juicy, lean, and a teeny bit spicy. I took the sausage and the eggs and piled it in the toasted white corn tortillas that came with the dish. The portion was so big, I ended up eating only half of the meal.
The restaurant may be a trek distance-wise, but I’m definitely coming back here to try other items on the menu.
