Saigon Sandwich has recently opened an express storefront of the Tenderloin favorite in the Financial District called Saigon Deli Express. If you don’t know Saigon Sandwich, they are known to have the best Vietnamese sandwiches in San Francisco.

Saigon Deli Express’ menu offers the Classic Combo ($4.25) which features two kinds of pork, and the traditional garnishes - pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro, cucumber and jalapenos. This is a little pricier compared the original storefront.

But despite the price, I’m definitely excited for this restaurant as I’m literally a block away. The 94105 zip code is filled with horrendous Vietnamese sandwich joints where the bread is too hard and the meat too fatty. So far, Saigon Deli Express only has 3 stars on Yelp, but I’ll be soon to write my own review later this week.

Update:
I tried this place yesterday and it’s terrible! Read my review here.
